On Running for Public Office
This series is meant to be an overview for anyone interested in learning more about running for office, especially those who may be thinking about running but don’t have access to party or existing campaign resources. Although these don’t go into exhaustive detail (and don’t represent the only way of thinking about things), they do provide a good summary and should give you what you need to think critically about running, or maybe help you get pointed in the right direction if you’re beginning the process.
Don’t let the unknown of a campaign process prevent you from a potentially rewarding way to make a real impact in your community! Click here to view the full guide/outline.
Travels with Torpey
In the summer of 2021 I spent four months driving across the country, visiting more than a dozen states I had never been to before. Check out this subseries to hear stories, reflections and lessons from my prior travels, this road trip, and any of the travels I take in the future that bring me to different and unique places and communities.
Five Minute Book Reviews – 5MBR
Do you like hearing me talk, but only for five minutes at a time? Check out this series, where I’ll be giving quick rundowns of some of my favorite and most interesting reads!
On Local Governance
This series is meant to touch on issues specifically related to governing at the local level. There will be some focus on issues related to New Jersey, but the majority of the discussion will be relevant to people working in and around local government anywhere.
